 Eleinte az akarták, hogy JoJo legyen Hannah Montana, ezért lett volna a főszereplő Chloe Stweart. De aztán, amikor látták Mileyt 13 évesen, akkor úgy döntöttek,  hogy Miley lesz a főszereplő. És ugye ő is úgy lett Miley, hogy édesapja Smileynak becézte. Így lefaragtak a Smileyból és lett Miley. De ha nem lett volna művész neve, akkor Zoe Stweart lett volna.
